It's sunny but bitterly cold. The sub-zero temps are back again. Sitting in the sunroom drinking coffee with the snow glittering in the sunlight outdoors...not a bad morning.  :)

Yeah crummy day here too. Low to mid 70s and cloudy.

39F here at the moment.  Slept in today. First cupajoe down the hatch.

Getting ready for the GSAS meeting tonight. Going to take some plants to tonight's monthly auction. I'm also setting up a table for a couple of us who are, or have been, stamp collectors and have topical collections of fish on stamps. I believe another fellow is going to bring his collection and display them with me.  I thought it would bring a new aspect of fish collecting to some of the club members who never thought of collecting fish or stamps this way. During the time when I didn't have fish I decided that I could still have fish by collecting them that way. I've been inactive for awhile, but it's fun to get them out and look them over. A lot of the scientific names have changed since some of them were named.

Anybody here doing a fish on stamps collection or accumulation?

Happy Aquariuming,
Ron

My Dad was a philatelist.....He had a massive amount of binders filled with stamps. I found them interesting but never got into it myself....

Same goes for my Dad. I used to watch him sort through stamps and put them in little cellophane envelopes.

I keep some of mine in the glassine envelops, and some in the albums. I'll be going through them this year I think, and getting rid of a lot of them. I have so many and they're just sitting in boxes. A lot of them are junk. They go first...taking up too much space. But I'm going to hang onto my pre=60s US and Canada stamps.

Having the fish on stamps displayed at the meeting last nigh was a hit. So many people were asking how did I get started, where do I get them; and they commented that they had no idea these existed.

Yeah...not my coining, though. The other guy that had his collection there for display came up with that. Pretty cool, huh?!
