I need to take a trip over to the lake to see if the Ice is thick enough for fishing. With the weather we have been having it should just about be ready.  Early this year, last year it was after Christmas before we could get on the lake.

I'm not afraid of work.  I can lay down right next to it and go to sleep.

I think I would die if I went out on the ice to fish.  I know that some people look forward to it.  Y'all are very brave.

I have no dogs to groom today.  I'll go to Ellisville to the bank to cash checks, to the pharmacy for drugs for the dog and me, and to the hardware store for a few fish related things.  Then I'll head in the other direction down Hwy 11 to the feed store in north Hattiesburg for horse feed.  I used to buy all my feed in Ellisville but they quit doing the buy 10 get one free deal on the horse feed so they pretty much lost a customer.
Always move forward. Never look back.

It is in Mukwonago, about 7 miles away.  There are several lakes around that are a little farther away.

It is great. You drive up, walk out on the lake, cut a hole and start fishing.  No dragging a heavy boat around. You can move around to keep warm and when you get cold you just pack up and go home.  I fish for Bluegills, I guess you call them Bream down there, and they sure are good to eat.

Down here they go by both names.  They're good to eat and fun to fish for.

I love winter fishing. We do it a bit different here though. I park. I grab a rod. I fish. I park right there on the pier and when I wan t o go home I walk 10 feet and get in the car.
