I hand loaded thirty rounds or so this morning and took my 1894 Hollenbeck black powder 12 gauge double barrel to the trap range fully intending to shoot a round of trap with it. Never took it out of the case. It was brutal out there.

Except for hanging laundry out and bringing it back in I had didn't confront the heat.  Thank God my push mower is still in the shop.

My back quit hurting although I'm still aware of it..  It was never bad, my back is basically strong.  Every once in a blue moon it tells me to baby it.  I take a hot bath and a NSAID and wait and then go about my business.  I'll be damned if I'll baby it.  My back is a part of me and it needs to work when I need it to work.  It was the worst when I was 16.  I worked through it way back then and I do the same today.

I know that I am extremely lucky  I have great structural conformation except for my feets.  As long as my feets don't hurt and get me around I have no problem with them no matter how  ugly they are.  Same with my hands.  They are very ugly, but they don't hurt and keep serving me well.

Other people aren't so blessed.  I don't know why I am.  It's not like I deserve a good working body.  My brother who had the same mix of genes was born with good hands and feet, but a kidney that didn't work, and a bad heart (in both scenes).  He died when he was 50 of a heart attack after he had a heart transplant at 40.  Go figure.
Always move forward. Never look back.
