These rams just proved it! >:( I suck in my attempts raising them artificially! I barely got some to survive when I artificially hatched/raise the first few batches...so I just gave up doing it and let them do it themselves... wfwf
Well, they did. They didn't have a lot to begin with...but most of the fry survived and the parents are doing a great job raising their fry.
It just proves that no matter what, fish instinct is better than our instinct when raising their young :D
..never fails...........nice spawn, pretty fish |^|
Thanks Jon. I barely see the first few survivors since they are in greenwater still. They peak in front of the tank occasionally, then they do whatever they are doing inside that tank. I just sprinkle some food and squirt a little bbs daily. I really don't know how many is still there :P
..how did you start your green water ?
I got a 2 liter bottle green water culture from someone close to my house. I then dumped it in this 40 gal tank. Kept light on 24/7.
I think the greenwater tank was not such a waste after all. Rams in that tank are doing great. Eating great...only way to see is if I look under tank rack...I can see them eating at the bottom whenever I put food in there....so today was the day I added the new babies in the greenwater tank....hopefully they don't get eaten by the bigger ones. They're not bothering them when I was observing their interaction. About 50 babies I transferred in there. I bet they'll love all the algae in there...
.that's the 40 breeder, right ?
