My mower

If only I could find a man as good as my new mower...

What a machine.  It calls to me once the shade falls upon where I want to mow.  It did it this evening.  We went over rough ground and 10" tall grass and big wire weed.  It was great!  The harder worked it, the more often it said, "bring it on strong woman".  It won this time.  I didn't run out of light.  I was hoping that it would run out of gas, but it didn't.  I ran out of energy.

At least I remember why I so love pushing a good mower.  It makes me feel GREAT!  I'm sure I'll be out there tomorrow evening.

I have been calling him Red so I guess he has been named.  I just came in from a 2 hr mow.  He was going strong.  I pooped out.  The drive way and fence row was a big job even when it wasn't so terribly overgrown.  I'm not done with the mowing part yet but I'm getting close.  Then I'll need to do some chain sawing of privet and then spray Round-Up. I had this place looking good before.  I'll make it look good again.  It'll just take time, and I have that.

Red is a great name.  That's what we all called Terri's grandmother and it fit her to a T.  LOL

Red and I went out and did the front yard and farther down the drive way toward where my old Dairy Goat barn is.  There is more we could do.  He's raring to go but now that the joint is on it's way to looking presentable.  My next job is to clean out the shed so I can move the horses.  I could have done it today.  It's not that big a job, I just didn't want to knock myself out today.  I have work starting tomorrow and I hate going into work plum tuckered.

After that I need to do some chain sawing of big stuff that's grown up along the fence row.  Anyone know how long gas lasts with Stable in it.  My 2 stroke mix is about 2 years old :-[

After that I'll spray stuff that kills grass only.  Then I need to do some round up of the stuff I will have knocked down with the chain saw.  Finally my Iris planted a million years ago will be able so see the light of day.
