Title: Shooting range
Post by: Jdmcfast on October 22, 2012, 02:09:44 PM
Me and my soon had a blast at a local indoor shooting range yesterday. Went through about 700 rounds in an hour. He is eleven and I hasn't seen him have that much fun in a good long while. Great bonding time!:D

I used to look forward to the days when my Dad and I, and my brother, went pheasant hunting. Those were good times. The hunt was quick, we were all good shots and hunters. Then we'd go out for an early breakfast and just talk....great times...

Cherish them times Josh. I wish I could take my grand sons. But could not hit the side of a barn now. Before my eye went bad I was a dead shot. Miss them times.

Back in the day, we chased rabbits around with Beagles.

Now, I'm glad to be a member of the local Sport Club. I watched the guys shoot trap on Sunday. The weather was beautiful.

Soon, my new black powder bullet and wad lubes will be ready and Captain Bob's will have a black powder division for these and other products. I'm thinking of calling it Slick-Shot 80/20. Both a barrel conditioner and wad lube.

Scented Lamb Tallow and Beeswax candles are also in the works. I render my own lamb tallow and get rough honey from a local bee keeper. Wicks? You guessed it, I make my own.
