I'm not old enough to remember that, but I remember back when minimum wage was $1.30 and I started as a kid at $1.40 because it was a union job. Back then, I thought that if I could make $100. a week I would be rich.
I'm not old enough either, but when I got out of the service and we came back to Wisconsin I started work at $1.10 an hour. Bought a 50 chevy for $75 and we were living on top of the world. But I do remember when TI came out with the 16 bit chip. Also we were one of the first to work with the Intel 286 when that came out. Before that the only thing available was the 8086.
