Title: And Sunday it is!
Post by: Ron Sower on January 29, 2023, 09:21:35 AM
Hi all!...

We'll be experiencing mid-60s degree weather here today...what do you guys have planned?...We're going to take it easy today and have a couple over to watch football and share munchies later....

I took down the 20g and sold it yesterday...A young lady that's been getting fish and plants from me needed a divided tank to house the 2 different species of Apistos she got from me a couple weeks ago...it was on a bottom rack which made it a pain to do water changes...now I'll use that space to hold some of my potted plants that I keep emerged in little DIY greenhouses I'm experimenting with...next is to take down the top level 20L and replace it with 4 five gallon tanks so I can hold 4 more nano fish species...

A fellow came over to get snails yesterday and had asked if I'd mind if he brought his well-trained and sweet Airedale with him, which we don't mind at all...I let him know we're a dog-friendly home...she was so calm and reserved...not scared...just a really gentle sweet dog...and pretty too... beautifully groomed...it was a treat! |^|

Well I guess I'd better get moving...I need to set up lodging accommodations for Gary Lange's visit to our club in March...one of our members will escort him to meetings etc if I locate him near the airport...he's also going to give two talks if we want them both...

What are the rest of you up to today?...

Good morning Ron and everyone. It is not going to be as nice as it was yesterday when we almost got up to 60 degrees before the sun went down. Today we will top off at 52 degrees before rain moves in. Hoperfully that will not have much of an impact on the Eagle's 49er's game that starts at 6 pm.

Of course I will be watching both of the games and at least one of the games I will watch at my neighbor's house. For that game I will be bringing along some freshly baked "special brownies". I'm sure that they will be happy that I did.

Ron , that's a good idea of putting three 3 5 gallon tanks on the 20L stand. As a matter of fact I have a 20L stand in the garage and three 5 gallon tanks on the floor of my fishroom. I'll set them up that way this week. I want to put a coat of Rust-Oleum paint on the stand first. It's an old stand but still in good condition.

Wishing you all a great day. I'll check in later.

Good evening gentlemen.  It did nothing but rain here all day long, and it will rain until midnight tonight.  I would have spent the day inside anyway but the rain outside made inside feel like a much more pleasant option.  At least the cold hasn't come in yet...

I got 3 10's and a 60 wide cleaned with clorox and set back up with sterile filters and declorinated aged water.  I've tested them out with 4 worthless gold rams and they are safe for fish now.  The job involves a lot of bending and straightening back up so I've been putting it off.

I'm having my second of I expect to be another not great back day, but I should be back to normal.  Just plain standing and walking is harder on me than bending and I didn't do as much walking today as I did yesterday.  Fish room work allows a good amount of sitting.

All my chores are done now.  Charlotte has been fed, Xena cat appears to have decided to spend the night inside, Chicken Chicken came in and "went to cage" early.  She doesn't like getting wet.  In fact, I may have a hard time making her to go out in the morning because she doesn't even like getting her feet wet!  Spoiled!

That's my news from Mississippi.
