..weather's cooling down for the fall season..time for the meat loaf and pot roast fairies to begin showing up   ;D...and make chili, homemade soups, stews, etc...

I love pot roast...cooked any of the many ways ...but saw a big hunk of hamburger in the freezer and immediately thought..'meat loaf' !!!!!!!

We have it on/off through the year too......but fall/winter is the serious cooking time............too hot during the summer to have an oven running all the time....plus it adds to the 'air' elec bill by heating up the house more...........and our new stove/oven is sealed really tight, especially compared to that old dinosaur that we had....LOL

Years ago we had an old Crown stove....steel built....had 2 ovens, 2 broilers, a middle griddle, and 4 burners.....a monster, and weighed a ton....
