Most Expensive Koi Fish: $2.2 Million

Koi lovers will have to dig deeper into their pockets to afford this extraordinary specimen of koi fish. Yes, the koi carp sold for a whopping $2.2 million. What makes this fish so exceptional? It?s well known for its long-life with the oldest koi fish reaching the age of 230 years - explains why owning a koi could be a worthy investment. Its amazing colors and markings also make the koi ponds an attractive decor. There are about 50,000 koi fish bred annually but only about 50 come with hefty price tags. The remaining ones are sold to koi hobbyists at cheaper prices. For the price of $2.2 million, you get the bragging rights for owning the most expensive koi fish.

The Koi people have money.  they're the ones who funded the research into Koi/Discus/Angel plague.  They have done good.  The U of Fl is trying do make a vaccine for this terrible virus.
Always move forward. Never look back.
