They used to say don't eat eggs too, but it turns out some of the longest living people on the planet eat eggs daily.  Maybe they just mean don't eat the eggs laid by sick chickens like we have in this country.....

It's almost unbelievable the difference between a store-bought egg and a real farm fresh free range egg.

It's an interesting contrast around here where in Clark county all the farms have went into Agra-Business mode.  No live stock, all GM crops and chemicals.  Where as in Champaign county, they still have actual farmers.  Grass fed beef, free range chickens, (it seems strange to call them that as they all used to be free range).  They even have dairy cattle that aren't pumped full of hormones.

I see a big movement of folks over to buying at the farm markets too.  We used to have 3 smallish markets.  These have all expanded in the last several years and we have about a half dozen new start-up markets as well.  Where as they used to just carry seasonal produce, many now have eggs, raw honey, apples and even fresh pressed cider in season.

I need to stop by some of the farms around here and get fresh eggs. There is a farm right up the street adjacent to a major state route. I guess this is a holdout and has not sold his land to the developers. Their herd of cattle are always visible grazing off the side of the road. It's a strange sight in this area. lol |^| |^| |^|
