Well I've been a bit lax in keeping my new years resolution to try and take some fishy photos every day. That said, here are some shots of the Coral Red Pencilfish I won in the Silent Auction last weekend.

These fish prefer very soft acidic water. I put them in one of my Oto breeder set-ups and added some leaf litter to drop the pH just a bit. The water has a very nice amber tea color to it now.

I neglected to ask Tony how old these fish are, so I'm not sure how long until I se some spawning activity. They are not at all shy and get right in your face!

So much for all I've read about Pencilfish having tiny mouths..... LOL
