I worked in a lab once that had a research MRI.
The people using it always had stories like this:

I knew a guy who worked in the runway pits for landing lights at the airport.....same stories....they even had space age plastic tools made so they could work on the giant capacitors.......married men wore no rings etc...special clothing..yada yada....he said it was one dangerous place to be if you were careless....
