Hey everyone, is it common to have my blue rams kill every pleco I put in their tank. At the most they leave them alone firvabout a week.

How big a tank?....Are the rams spawning?? Any wood/decorations/etc for the BN's to hide?? Have you tried cory's?.....tho they'll meet the same fate....?

My thought is that the Rams are spawning, or trying to spawn, and the BN's are seen as the natural threat that they are.....most likely anything you try to put in there will get attacked....??

My ram has killed her ram tankmates, attacks the angels and discus when they venture into what she has claimed as her territory and she slams into the siphon when I clean the tank.

When I was breeding rams they got very territorial and did exactly like what you and Pauline described. I found it best to house them alone.
