Replacing a ballast in a light fixture

I'm not fond of doing electricity although I know that it's as straight forward as plumbing which I am fond of.  But after talking to Barb who has lots of experience with flourescents because she breeds African Violets, and watching a you tube video on how to do it, this will be a piece of cake. and way easier than replacing the entire fixture.

The guy who made the video bought all these fixtures with ballasts made by Keystone.  He's been replacing them ever since.  He said several times that Keysone ballasts are pieces of junk.  He likes the GE ones best.  He said that even though they are all made in China, the GE ones are the best quality of all of them.

Bought the ballast yesterday and wired it in today.  I wasn't looking forward to the job simply because I don't like doing anything electric.  It worked.  I'll be less intimidated when another one quits on me.  Silly me, I keep going down to the fish room just to admire all the light ::)

I've got one that needs a new ballast also.  It's only a 5g that I use on a fry tank. I look at it everyday when I
go into the fish room.  In the meantime I have a 30 inch led straddling two 5 gallon tanks hold BN fry. lol
