As much as I yearn for good rye bread, this is is too rich for me.  I could handle the price of the $9.00 loaf, but $14.00 shipping?  I don't think so.  My heart also yearns for a good corned beef sandwich on rye.  Look at how much it would cost for 1 lb of sliced corned beer and the loaf or bread  http://www.zingermans.com/Checkout/Cart.aspx

I know that I have been indulging myself of late with bibble bath from France,  but this is for rich people, not for me.  If I still lived in the Northeast I could go around the corner and down the road and get a perfect corned beef on rye for what these days?  I figure 10 or 12 bucks for a good fat one.  It would come with slice of a wonderful Kosher Dill, too.

Tell Manny's deli that I will see them in July.  My poor mouth will have to water in the mean time.
Always move forward. Never look back.

corned beef and pastrami are my 2 favorite sandwiches...there was a fantastic place here but the owner finally retired...i had gone there for 30 years.there is another place downtown called Slyman's.they are good , but not good enough for me to go get one.
but................there is a place called Tal's Gourmet Shop..i used to go there when i was a kid.i grew up with the 2 boys Frankie and Joey.they are Italian of course but they do have some really good corned beef.and they still slice it by hand...
