I have a friend with good but eccentric taste who was also a working musician who says he doesn't like jazz.  He likes Big Band.  I say that Big Band is a form of Jazz, but he says that it is not.  I guess it depends on your largely on how broadly  you define the genea.  I'll have to shoot this off to the man who doesn't like jazz and see what he says.  How could anyone not like that!

My parents listened to a lot of big band and jazz.
