....works like a dream on the Samsung 44"......but the others the old style, and not so good.....we'll pick up a nice 32" HD and we'll be all set....

...so far around 33+ channels.....but it's trying for Ottawa and Peoria too....haven't spun it south yet either.... ;D ;D ;D ;D....nice toy !!  |^|

I don't know about direct TV,but some providers compress the signal,so you won't get  true 1080 P,i think that's how some work.

I believe over the air signals are 1080 P,so that MIGHT be the reason for the improved picture.

I know that's true....720 is an industry standard for satellite....there are a few channels that really require it tho....like the 'nature channel'

yeppers....the Cub game today was on and the pic was outstanding...so was the golf, and racing.......here again, there are many programs that aren't 1080p to begin with.....it's more likely to be 1080i (interlaced), or 720p (progressive)...
