Thanks for the welcome Jon & Liz. I've been checking the forum for a while and enjoying the random stuff.

I was pretty far into fishkeeping at one time, and then got out of it for 30 years. I feel like Rip Van Winkle, trying to relearn what I forgot and finding much that is new.

...no matter how long I've been keeping fish, it seems that I'm always still learning.... 8)

Hi Willie. Just angels and rams for now. I've been setting up for some WC discus but keep getting sidetracked and now I've probably missed the season. Too many irons in the fire. Tempted to try some altums....

Before the internet there was just trial and error, and a couple of Axelrod's books. My grandfather started keeping discus and angels in the '50s and later gave me one of his homemade tanks and some fish. Those fish didn't last long I'm afraid, but it got me started.

I have been seeing a possible problem with some angels that I grew out, so I will gather some pictures and try to post later today. It might be nothing, but I'm guessing you guys can help me understand it better.

You're in the right place. Jon is the Angelfish guru. I just follow his lead.

Welcome to the forum Wallace!  Lots of friendly and knowledgeable folks here.  Definitely NOT your typical fish forum.   ;)
