Another nice warm day here at 100 and sunny!

You guys are makingi me think I should downsize!!! But, nah! Not yet!😉

I spent a good part of the day getting squared away with the body shop and the lady that backed into me. I need to rent a car for 1-2 weeks when they get all the parts in to fix it. So I found that out after the lady had given the body shop her credit card info to pay the bill. Then I had to get her squared away to pay the rental bill. Either that or turn in a claim to her insurance company. She has agreed to pay the rental. None of the accident was my fault but I'm doing all the work!!!

Anyway, you guys all take care. |^|  |^|

Quote from: Barb on April 22, 2024, 02:24:48 PMHi Willie, also chilly here today, and windy too.  Tonight is to be 39, which is very cold here this time of year.  I will need to move some potted plants back in from outside and cover up some others.  I sure hope it doesn't go lower. Will let you know tomorrow.  Good plan to downsize Willie and concentrate on what makes you most happy.  I am doing the same.  I am sure it is better to live where you are than go back to NYC, sounds like no fun there anymore.  My little city is safe and pleasant, hope it stays so.  A lot of people from up north are moving here though.  Have a good day you all!

Barb, a lot of folks from NYC and North Jersey are moving here too. I came here from Chicago where I lived for 8 years.

Good afternoon everyone. It was a chilly 42 degrees this morning but the temps are climbing and we will get up to a high temp of 62 degrees later on today.

We are finally at the end of the flooring project with my installer finishing up the trimming today. While he has taken more time than I'd like, he has done a great job and going this route has saved me around 2.5K in dollars. I'll use that money to get some new furniture down the road.

The fish that I have left are all doing well but at this point in my life I will not be looking to get more or breed more fish. If the discus breed I will work with them but I'm not looking to intentionally breed them. Pretty soon I will begin to sell off the tanks and some equipment.

In the near future I will be looking to spend more time with my grandkids and great grandkids. They want me to "come home to NYC" but I refuse to live in that city again. I was born there and lived there for 48 years and one of the best things that I ever did was leave when I did.

Barb, Ron and Dennis it sounds like things are going well for you. Liz I hope things are good for you as well.

Wishing you all a great day

Hi Ron and other friends.  My island by ferry yesterday was a lot of fun with 3 lady friends. The weather was perfect, good thing, since today is cold and raining.  Amazing how that worked out.  I left at 6:45 am an got back home at 10 pm.  Only 180 miles driven, most of the day was on ferries. Had a great day.

Ron, a couple years ago my daughter, then 45, had the restricted neck vertebra, her left arm was almost paralyzed for a couple mo. Surgery fixed it all,  but it was a big, expensive and involved deal with a rather long recovery.  Do PT first and see if it helps.  Her surgery was through the front of her neck! But all well now.

Hope you all had a good weekend.

Hi Muggers!

It's been a crazy and fast week here in my little world. It's hard to believe that is Sunday morning already. I've been having a lot of ppl come to get fish, plants and shrimp plus I ordered a huge number of fish and plants this week and Ive had to that a lot of time acclaiming fish and sorting plants. I've barely had enough tank space for all. I've added 2 more 10g for plants, actually.

Lucy's booth made her rent payment in 2 weeks this month. And mine hit it solidly this past week, so the traffic is growing! Of course they're not producing a profit yet, but that will come.

I recently finished a book on the Holocaust written by a surviving Jewish medical Dr. held in Auswitz. I've heard many stories about that horror but it didn't sink in, until I read that book, how many millions of people were literally led to the gas chambers like sheep or cattle. And the methods used to keep them all at bay. (shiver)

The weather here is getting into the 90s now, with it dipping back into the 80s a day or 2 at a time. Lovely here.  The cacti are blooming. It was a relatively wet winter so they're gonna look good. Saguaros are budding and they will open their large white flowers soon. They will bloom all through May and the first week or 2 in June.

I got the results from my 2 MRIs I had recently. The first one indicated I do still have a brain - with nothing going on there!😁 The other indicated that the openings in my neck vertebrae are becoming restricted which is causing to tinkling and pain in my left hand. Surgery is one option; PT is another. I think I'll chose PT.

Willie, Barb, Liz & Dennis...what's going on with you folks? Barb, was your "cruise" a good one yesterday?

Lucy's making coffee, so I go partake. I hope all of you are havinfpg a good weekend.

Hi Barb!

Ocracoke Island! Wow! That brings back memories! Many years ago I took my family to Chincoteaque which is further north off the VA coast, in the southern end of the Delmarva Peninsula. It was quite a visit with the wild ponies coming up to the car.

How was your trip?

Hi gang, how are you all doing?  Liz I hope you are OK, I was thinking of you yesterday after I read your last post.  Ron and Willie and Dennis, what do you all have going on?  Tomorrow I am taking 3 friends on a big ferry trip out to Ocracoke Island for the day.  5 hrs will be spent going out and back on the big car ferry,  which holds about 100 cars.  Or boats, trucks, etc.  the island is 25 mi offshore but it takes 2 1/2 hrs to get there since the ferry goes very slowly.  I still love being out on the water.  This vacation place can only be reached by boat or plane.  Very small planes.;

It was 90 here yesterday!  But now it is cooler for awhile thank goodness, not ready for summer yet.  Have a good weekend you all.

THE LOUNGE / Sunny Tuesday
Last post by wsantia1 - April 16, 2024, 10:34:48 AM
Good morning everyone. It is a beautiful day here with plenty of sunshine and temps getting to a high of 73 degrees this afternoon. There is no rain in sight so it doesn't get better than this.

I've been very busy here with my flooring project finally getting off the ground. So far almost half of the new flooring has been installed and hopefully this project will be completed by Thursday or Friday at the latest. Most of the time and work has been removing the old floor. The builder really installed that carpet to make it stay in place.

All is well with the remaining fish that I have and Kobe is still hanging in there. I have decided that I will probably only keep about 5 tanks running and the rest of my tanks will be sold off or donated to someone. At nearly 70 years old I really need to be spending more of my time with my family and friends while I am still in good health.

Wishing you all a great day.
