Spaghetti

That's what's for dinner tonight.  I'm not smart enough to make it from scratch.  I buy an imported sauce that rings my bell and add stuff to it.  This sauce I bought is made with black and green olives, capers, and anchovies.  I bought extra anchovies to put in it.  I have capers, but with the anchovies thrown in, I won't need them.  I'll brown some chopped onion and garlic as well.  I also bought a can of artichoke hearts to toss in.  For the meat, I use Italian Sausage.  I also have a tad of ground chuck that will go in as it's not even enough to make a burger from.  It sounds good to me.  I guess I'll find out.  Not all my cooking adventures turn out.

OMG, that was good!  The artichoke hearts were what made it.  Next time I'll try the ones packed in oil rather than the ones in water.  The ones in oil have more flavor.  I was surprised that I couldn't pin point the flavor of the anchovies.  They just blended into the dish and gave it more of something I don't have a word for.

Tomorrow it will be a beef fillet, pan broiled with a baked potato.  I got 2 fine looking fillets on "special today" for $5.  My daddy started out as a butcher.  I can tell a good piece of meat when others sometimes can't.

Look at me!  I'm as full as a fat tick and thinking about tomorrow's meal...
