Coffee's good.... Blowing snow expected..heat wave's over.... well the 30's are gone, back to the bone chilling temps..looks like a good day to do some water changes, sponge squeezing..

The wind is howling......not much snow, but colder for sure. I only shoveled off maybe an inch...I hate driving on snow in the driveway..it packs it down, and then freezes..yada yada...then it'll stay around til May even.....

Know what you mean about ice on the driveway. Our driveway is steep.  The mailbox is at the end of the driveway.  I have those metal stretchy things that go on the bottoms of my boots for traction when it gets icy.

Ah..the old metal 'stretchy things'....I remember them well

Would you believe that when I lived in Canada a long time ago, we used to put wide rubber bands around the ball of the foot on our snow boots for traction?  It worked, some.

We used to put sheet metal screws in our motorcycle tires to race on ice.  They worked good too, but were hell back in the garage on concrete.  LOL
