Good news Patricia.  I'm curious as to how many tanks you and his friend have been keeping up for him. I was so proud of my wife, when back in VA a year ago, the filter went out on my large tanks with some large goldfish and and I walked her through how to set up an aerating pump and airstone by phone. I'm hoping you didn't have any problems like that. 

I'm telling you..... You can't beat it when you have life partners that jump in and help you keep your hobbies and other interests intact while you're out of service.  That's real caring, and real love.
