A while back there was a discussion on Simply about RO units.  Back flush valves were mentioned.  My unit didn't come with a flush valve.  I asked about it and darling Cosmo had one sent to me.

He did more.  RO units are over my head.  All I know to do is connect same colored hoses to same colored hoses.  It's an embarrassment to me that I'm so stupid things that are easy for normal pleople.  It's just the way it is.  Cosmo (aka the good Jim) gave me his phone number and talked me through finding the flow restrictor and taking it out, and putting in the flush valve.  I will be eternally grateful.  My membrane will last longer now.  Jim said that I just need to backflush the membrane for a few seconds every couple of times I fill my ro containers.
Always move forward. Never look back.
