Let us not forget to remember those from the 'Greatest Generation' that fought, and died, for our country.

Here, here!  I grew up surrounded by the men you speak of.  The closest of which would be my father Frank and his brothers, Seymour, Virgil, & Alden.

My Dad, and his brother Jake, were both Navy in the Pacific. Dad at 'Pearl' and Midway, Jake at Guadalcanal. Jan's Dad was Navy, a survivor of the USS Indianapolis.
I ,too, grew up around these great men.

Yes, they deserve being remembered and our gratitude.

We've heard complaints from a couple of people that they seem to have been forgotten this year, overshadowed by Nelson Mandela's death.   :(
