Well, on the best Koi line, the offspring are starting to pair up. I snagged this young couple out of the 55 with the others. Three hours later...boomba, they've spawned....sweeeeeeeeet ;D
Nice, You have some of the best koi I have seen around Jon.
My favorite angels by far
Thanks... ;D I have at least one more female in there that's flirting....I need to make a place for her....I know, more tanks!!!!!.. :o ;D 8)
lol. thats the reason i don't have angels. My wife would kill me if i set up more tanks. But with all the great angels you guy's have on here it is real hard not to

That's great Jon. Those are some nice Koi.
First full day passed. They had a few white eggs, and they're sucking them off, and tending...a very good sign...especially for their very first spawn each.... ;D
Well I am still waiting for my Koi to do something. Maybe I'll move a couple around to other tanks to see if they like some of my other angels. :-\ I hate to break them up because I really like the Koi.
Patience......I had em all together and waited for the little squabbles to start, then watched for the pairing off....
OK, I'll be patient. LOL ;D

It's hard some times....LOL...you really want that spawn but the parents are at the beach.. ;D
Watch for the tubes....
We have wigglers, and a few are breaking loose....parents are doing a nice job of spitting them back on the slate....technique is lacking tho...LOL...spit a few on...knock some more loose with fin turbulence......repeat... ;D

I'll have to sneak up and watch them. When they see me they stop what they are doing, line up side by side, shimmy and beg for food. They are some greedy suckers. ;D ;D ;D

Seems they're getting the hang of it now, most are lost, but they moved the rest to the top of the sponge....cool.... ;D....and first time for both ;D....
LOL...I thought maybe they were gone now....but....half dozen ,or so, on a plant leaf...love it... ;D

It sure sounds like they are getting things together.
I swaer..she's 'Houdini' ;D..I looked later and they were gone again...tried a magnifying glass..nada...when I was feeding the PM....they're on the dang sponge....LOL
Two of my pairs (plats and mana x) have gotten real good at moving their eggs and fry around. They both are doing a decent job of parent raising too. I find things are starting to move pretty fast around here with these spawns.

It's a sign of pretty good parent raisers ;D...When I see Mark Huffman at the GCCA, I'm going to grab some more mid sized Anubias...those broad, thick leaves are perfect for them....even if potted....

I picked up some at the swap. The plats spawned on one after this mornings water change after previously spawning exclusively on the intake tube. Those are great plants and they were cheap too.
'Houdini' and her mate have managed to raise about 6-8 fry and they're attempting to free swim. I'm really tickled...first pairing, first spawn, and actually doing most of it right in parent raising. ;D Can't get much better than that....
That is great Jon! ;D
That's awesome Jon. I can hardly wait until my koi start to pair up. It will be sad to have to break them up. they look so pretty in the planted tank. I might have to take out the ones that don't pair up and give the 55 to the ones that do. They just make that tank pop with there bright orange.
