Title: Jordan River Michigan Fish Hatchery
Post by: raven_wilde on November 13, 2013, 10:56:43 AM
A year-ish ago we took a trip 'Up North' (as we say in Michigan) and we happened to stumble across the Jordan River Fish Hatchery. For anyone who has ever bred fish this place is like the happiest place on earth. I was giddy like a little kid the entire time I was there.

For your vicarious enjoyment I did a write-up on it over on my blog: http://aqua.ravenwilde.net/2012/08/24/jordan-river-national-fish-hatchery/

For those of us in Illinois, there are three facilities....

I know just what you mean.  One of our local club members, Doug Sweet, is the superintendent of the London State Fish Hatchery.  Very cool place just about 30 minutes from home.

I need to go back during hours when there are guided tours - I had sooooo many questions that just weren't addressed on the didactic panels.
