...and we're looking forward to it...... |^|....after all the rain the trees and plants are popped out ..... :) |^| :)
...a good day to play outside.... :)
..in the 60's already.....woo hoo ! :)
65 here. Grocery shopping done. I am about to go down and feed the fish, will put off today's water changes. Have an errand to run then some grass to mow. I am going to be going all day by the looks of it.
....we just had a power blink.......had to go reset all the clocks, etc......wonder wat's with that...?
...heading out to mow now.......nice day.. :)
Lovely day here, too. I decided to make 2 raised beds for vegetables. Right now all I'm doing is growing a couple of 'maters in pots. When I first thought about doing this I thought I would put the raised beds in a sunny spot where I raise pot in pots. The problem with that place is that I'd have to run a long hose to water and it's farther from the house than I would like. Also, it's out of main view which is good for pot but not good for a veggie garden.
During the time I was asleep I came upon a better spot. I'll take over a 16'X20' part of a pasture where my horse spends most of her time. I laid out the spot today and mowed it so I could see it better than I could with just strings around the area. There is water right there (I ran the line to the pasture a million years ago when I was healthy enough to dig a trench). It's close to the house. I can use the existing fence for one side. I have a 4' gate from back when I was raising dairy goats. I have 2 4X4 posts that I was going to use for a chicken yard before I decided to let them free range. I have 1 roll of fencing but will have to buy another. I also have metal posts but I will have to pull them up from where they've been for years. All in all I won't have to spend much money at all. All I need to invest is physical labor.

...yup..... :)...we love sitting out here.... |^|
My rain barrel hasn't been filling up and I thought we had enough rain. Checked it over, checked the drain pipe insert everything looked ok. Then it dawned on me that I may have left the spigot open when I stored it last fall. Just checked ....sure enough spigot was open so as soon as the water ran in it ran right out again. Now I am waiting for more rain.
