Liz, my ignorance shows here...what is PB?...pigeon blood? ....funny I always thought the PB color was red...,

Sorry Ron, when you have been in the Discus hobby for as long as I have you just start talking in code.  Yes, PB mean Pigeon Blood. They are an orange red.  Non PB reads are a brown red.  Your solid red fish are probably called Marlboro's, a PB strain.  Your striated fish are PBs as well.  Both are called different strains by different breeders.  There is a stupid naming game with Discus that doesn't happen in other fish.
