Wow...I can't even guess how many of the old Metaframes I'd pick up as trash set out by the streets in Roanoke and take them home and replace the broken glass in them and put in my fishroom....! That black mastic material was hard to work with, and then I began using silicone...

The really vintage ones had the vertical metal corner pieces more narrow at the top and wider at the bottom...

..yes some were the 'Jewel' tanks with crystal bottoms....some heavy with horizontal line grooves and others with heavy glass with swirls design etched....had a few years ago but we let them go to a newbie starting the hobby.....wonder if he still has them?....5's, 15's, and 28's....about seven total if I remember correctly....some with those unique SS hoods....I still have one 25gal w/SS light fully restored....
