Title: Emporor 400
Post by: Tony44 on May 28, 2017, 09:58:04 AM
So I use emporor 400 filters on all tanks 55 gallon and over I buy 24 pad bulk every 6 months so was trying to find a cheaper pad since I already put carbon in filters I have been searching for pad. I found filter material that will stand up in filter and do just as good of a job also can be rinsed and reused it's called Aqua-flo pond filter media it is 12.5 inches wide and 6 feet long for just under 16 bucks

...no......just floss...if you want carbon use a piece of panty hose or something.....

...those filter pads are expensive after a bit....and with many tanks ....

a couple weeks dependent on the load......sponges hold the bio here...and the few hob filters that I do have run the floss...

Thanks

...experiment a bit with the amount of floss....you don't want to pack it in...but you'll want it 3/4 or so....and a little loose, not compact...
