Dang those are great pics of great looking angels. ;D...You know that I'm partial to those leopards and pinoy leopards tho...gorgeous......nice work Ed..... ;D
Wow! Those are some great looking angels and I can't say enough about those pictures. ;D ;D ;D
Stunning!!!! Some of them look like fins with fish attached. Amazing.
Thanks. :)
The pairs I initially bought to restart things here, as well as my repairing of some of the adults, have produced an interesting and LARGE variety of fish here.
Now that the lil guys are finally growing up, every time Im cleaning tanks I find a new favorite I just "got to keep" for future breeding projects.....sadly, I have waaaaay too many favorites, and not enough time and or room for them all. :'(
Your angels are amazing Ed. I like the last picture the best. I know how you feel about haveing too many favorites and not enough space or time. I need more tanks, my wife thinks differently. She wins all the time. I'll have to make do with what I have.
Very nice Ed
I especially like the 1/2 black Koi.

it's just a name....genetically, it can't happen....dble dose gold will mask half black....trust me, it's been tried by many to no avail before they believe it..... ;D
WOW!! GORGEOUS ANGELS!!! WOW!!!
How are you taking those excellent photos? I'm curious about your camera & settings, etc...

Currently Im using a Canon 6D(SLR) with both an on camera and an off camera slave flash.

Grab your vidideo camera and come on out ;) and we can do a video on how/what Im doing....it could take another 2000 words to try to explain it all.
If there is interest and If I get some time in the next couple days, Ill try to take some pix of some of the setups (and updated pix of the "kids") as well as try to explain the how/what and why of what I did for these pix. Ya'll might get a kick out knowing these were all shot using a Styrofoam cooler "flash modifier" 8)
Ill also try to set something up for those with point and shoot cameras, using easily obtained and inexpensive lighting ideas.
Count me in. I'm definitely interested.
I am interested too. ;D ;D ;D I'm tired of taking lousy pictures of fish. :o I take decent pictures of people and regular pets but fish have me stumped. :-[
I have a Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX200V that I know is capable of much more than I can do with it. ??? :-[
Here are a couple links to a pretty good explanation of what it will take to get decent fish pix for anyone interested. This guy does a GREAT job in explaining MANY things to help get you started in the right direction.
http://fish-etc.com/knowledge/how-to-photograph-your-fish-and-tank-part-1 (http://fish-etc.com/knowledge/how-to-photograph-your-fish-and-tank-part-1)
http://fish-etc.com/knowledge/to-photograph-fish-aquarium-part-2 (http://fish-etc.com/knowledge/to-photograph-fish-aquarium-part-2)
The key thing to take away from those writings, and most important to getting decent pix of your fish is LIGHT
LOTS of BRIGHT LIGHT......the ability to manipulate camera settings, knowing which settings to change.......practice/experimentation........ and patience.
I can try and help decepher/explain what is written on those pages (that save me a WHOLE lotta two fingered typing) If ya have any questions after reading those pages fire away.
Ill get some pix of my fishy portrait setups up sometime lin the coming days.
Im heading out for a few days...........the trees and bushes around here are SCREAMING in wet evenly lit deep Reds, Bright Oranges and Yellows........All the makins for some pretty fall color scenery pix. My FAVORITE time of year
Thanks a lot Ed. ;D ;D ;D

Yes sir, mine too..... ;D areas like 'Starve Rock', and the lower Fox River ( a top ten in 'Canoeing America') have some of the best scenery anywhere.......altho, I'm rather fond of Western NY too... ;D
