Go south, Ed.  Just not Florida.  The beauty of Florida has been destroyed.  If you like cities and can handle traffic Dallas and Atlanta and to a lesser extent, Jackson MS.  They all have a lot to offer if you know what you want and find the right place.  If you want country solitude you can find it in some parts of MS and AL that aren't far from where you can find culture.  I recommend somewhere outside of Mobile AL.  Mobile rocks.  Good luck.  Keep in touch.
