Fine for a few tanks.  Useless if you have a fish room.  I wonder if I could run my Jhemco LPH 60 off the batteries in my deisel van using an inverter?

I once saved a whole bunch of fish that had been without electricity for 3 days.  More had died than were still living, but luckily, the woman netted out the dead ones so the water didn't get gross.

That's the idea, Liz...maybe just my 2 1/2's (hatching tanks)...plus good for traveling with buckets of fish, etc...

I used an inverter with my car battery on my move from Illinois to Delaware.  I also used the battery operated pumps and the worked great connected to a sponge filter while the batteries were good. ;D ;D ;D

Too Many Fish. Not Enough Tanks.

That would be easy enough Liz.  Your LPH 60 is rated at 72 watts.  You could run 2 of those off of an inexpensive 150 watt inverter.

I just bought the 400 watt inverter from them. ......$34....a good deal and will be handy in the Tahoe for lots of things....but especially fish transport for this winter... ;D....or any time for that matter...LOL

..they just arrived, they're made by 'Whisper' and take (2) 'D' cells...LOL...gotta put out a lot for a good spell with that kind of power.....I'll bet that I can put a 2 way valve on there and run a couple with just one pump..??....cool 8)

..forgot to tell everyone how great these are....surprisingly powerful too...I used one unit with a 2 way valve, and it ran the air stones with ease in 4 gal buckets.....nice.... ;D
