Oh my Ron, that is every fishkeepers nightmare.  Lucky not more damage to your room though.  35+ gallons of water can do a lot of damage.  I freak out when I spill several gallons.  You should see how many old towels I keep just for soaking up tank spills.  Glad your gastro issues are over.  My daughter has no gallbladder so I hear about all that can do.

It is a very warm sunny day here, got up to 80, I did some more yardwork awhile ago.  My elderly neighbor can't take care of her yard anymore so her millions of weeds go to seed and many of them end up over here.  I trim hers when I have battery power in my weed whacker to do it.  But too many over there to keep up. She really needs to sell and move into a senior home, but wont.  And she has no money to pay someone to do much to help her yard.  Just mowing every 6-8 weeks.  It is a constant problem for my yard now. Oh well.  Could be worse I know.

You all have a nice Easter weekend. Eat some chocolate!

Good day all!

We did get home Thursday evening in fine shape. I'm sure my gastric events were due to consumption of fried foods. Without a gall bladder I know better than to partake of them, but I tried anyway, much to my chagrin 😩. I paid the price!

Upon entering our home Thursday evening, we were met with a 75g tank that was half empty!😩. A very slow leak. No water on the floor but a wet wall and baseboard behind the tank. I was going to rescape this tank after our return from vacation, so I suppose this was the universe's way of making sure I did that! so yesterday I spent the entire day exchanging that tank with one that Stan is selling. I had a couple of friends come over and do the lifting for me, which was a great help. So far, I don't think I've lost any fish, except one coral red pencil fish that got missed when he jumped out of the net into a dry bucket and died. unfortunately, I didn't see him until later. too late! I hate that. I'll be turning on the lights and checking the rest of the fish in a few minutes. So that's the only thing I really got done yesterday.

Liz, I hate to see that you're going to have to give up Charlotte, but you know what you have to do. You will certainly miss her and She will miss you.

Looks like the rest of you doing pretty good, so keep on keeping on. I'll check in later to see what else might be going on today with you guys. Have a great day.🐠🐠🐠

She's a racing quarterhorse although she didn't have much of a carrier.  She won her first race and brought her owners a couple thousand dollars, but after a horse wins it's first race it moves up in class.  She was raced a couple of more times but never finished in the money, so that's when she was sold and turned into a former racehorse, now western pleasure horse.  It says all that on her registration papers.

Liz, I also hope that Charlotte is adopted to a good home. We all know how much you love that horse and want nothing but the best for her. I love horses too and I am sure I would have gotten one if I had enough land to do so. What type of race horse was/is she?

Hi Willie and Liz, it has been a sunny but cool day today, but nice after about 4" of rain day before yesterday.  Willie, probably the same storm that dumped rain on your area.  Liz, I hope Charlotte will be adopted.  Let us know.  She will miss you and you her I know.  How many dogs do you have?  And one cat I know.  I have 3 cats, as you all probably know.  Last week one of our kill shelters, sent a donated van with 38 cats to a rescue in Nebraska!  I was so glad to hear this.  They will get homes there!  We have 1 kill shelter, and one no kill.

Hope you all have a good weekend, I will be going to a friends house for lunch on Sunday. Since I am alone I always appreciate a meal with a family on a holiday.  Ron, are you home and recovering? Hope so.  Dennis, take a good bike ride!

It's a pretty good Good Friday for me so far.  I don't know how many hours I drove to get my errands run.  South to Ellisville for beer, north to Hattiesburg to pick up Big Head's drugs, way farther north to the feed store and supermarket in Seminary then south by the scenic route home.  It's such a magnificent day, even the highway driving was pleasant.

I bought 300 lbs of horse feed, and I hope that this will be the last time.  I'm having a hard time taking care of Charlotte.  I got in touch with the lady, Sandra, who gave her to me who told me there was no possible way, with all she had going on, for her to take her back, but she knows of a horse rescue. Sandra told her of Charlotte's history.  I believe they are interested in taking her because she's unusual as a former racehorse who is ancient but still in good shape and rideable.  They want a picture of Charlotte and a picture of her registration papers.

I'm praying that they'll accept her and give her the love and attention that she deserves for the years she has left.  If not, at least she has 300lbs feed left before I have to say a sad goodbye.

Good morning everyone. Hopefully you are all well. All is good here. We have been rained on for most of the past week and today we finally get a break as the as it will be sunny with the high temp getting into the high 50s. With that being said it is only 38 degrees at the moment.

When I was growing up Good Friday was a big deal for my family. We had to go to church and we couldn't eat any meat on GF and there were exceptions to that. To this day I usually try not to eat meat but I usually fail. Since my stomach has been bothering me for a few days I am more conscious of what I am eating so I might actually succeed this time. ;D

I won't be doing much today except fishroom work but I need to do some yard work soon. With all of the rain we have gotten the weeds have gotten out of control and the fall cleanup by our landscapers will not begin until Tuesday.

Wishing you all a great day and I'll peek in later to see if anything is going on in your neck of the woods.

Hi Barb, no rain here, but it's been a chilly upper 40's kind of day.

Loaded up some tools and headed out to Mom's this morning. She will be back from Florida in about 6 weeks and there are some things I'd like to get done at her place before she gets back.

Left her place around noon and came home to work on one of the bikes. It had an issue with the ignition system, but it's all good now.

They are calling for mid 60's with sun tomorrow so I'm hoping to take the bike and hit the hardware stores looking for some faucet parts I need to complete repairs out at Mom's.

Going to do a bit of studying and then some reading before calling it a day. One of my old work mates gave me the book, "Failure Is Not An Option". It's an interesting book by Gene Kranz, the former Flight Director at NASA.

Have a good evening all!

Well, it has been raining non stop for about 24 hrs!  I looked at radar awhile ago and this storm is from FL all the way up the east coast into Canada!  But should be sunny here by tomorrow and all weekend.  Ron, if you see this I hope you are home and feeling better.  Do you have food poisoning?  I am so familiar with that issue.  Hope you all have a good rest of Thursday, I am indoors with my sickly cat on my lap. Even when I want to be up doing other things, I sit so she can be on my lap.  Don't know how much longer I will have her.  So I do all I can to keep her happy. She is deaf now and partially blind too.
