I use the free version of Malwarebytes. Just hit the download button and not the buy button.

What I get is the trial for a period of time. Is there a continuous one?

That would be the one under the "Buy" button.....  https://www.malwarebytes.org/ (https://www.malwarebytes.org/)

When you download ("free") the program (hit download not buy) you have to be careful and read each box that pops up as it is installing. You need to deselect the check mark that asks if you want to try the trial version. When you do that you get the free version which doesn't have all of the components of the paid version but works well for me.

I paid for mine and I'm glad I did.  It didn't cost much and it runs automatically.
