?Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming ?Wow! What a Ride!? ~ Hunter S. Thompson

When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because those weirdos are your tribe.  (Sweatpants & Coffee)

You are all very welcome.  Enjoy!!!  Some very interesting stuff to be found in the European magazines.

i never heard of these before.

They had a nice little story on Caecilians (rubber eels in pet stores).
They are leg-less, tail-less amphibeans that shed their skin and give birth to live young after a 21 month gestation period.

Yes, it's only recently that some of the German mags are being translated into English.  Rather ironic as English started out as a West Germanic language that was first spoken in early medieval times.....

To say the hobby is more active on the other side of the pond is putting it very mildly.  A couple years ago Practical Fishkeeping, a UK based magazine, published a flyer with all the LFS stores in the UK.  There were over 1400.  Considering that the whole of the UK is just slightly larger than the state of Ohio, that's a lot of stores selling aquarium products.
