It looks like my fat brown female has taken a liking to what appears to be a young albino male (I just saw his whiskers this morning).  They have been taking turns going in and out of a cave I dropped in the tank yesterday.  Hopefully I am on to something here.  Stay tuned. LOL

Thanks Jon.  The male I got from you at the first swap this season.  I guess that was back in November.  He has come a long way. Much bigger than the rest of his mates.

The female I got from petsmart as a tiny little thing about a year ago for $1.99. spur of the moment buy and the last one left in tank.  LOL

I will certainly be looking for some.  maybe some L 144s.  I think I'd like to have a few in some of my other tanks.

OK. After talking to Jon most of the day (Thanks Jon) and doing a sneak flashlight beam into the cave I have been able to spot a good clutch of eggs. LOL

The pictures are of a couple of stray eggs that got out (first time breeders).

Good luck with them Willie. Do you have your cave at a angle or flat? I have a pair that will kick eggs out of the cave if it's not at a slight incline.

Thanks for that tip Scott. I have the cave flat. I need to look into that.  I did not see anymore loose eggs so hopefully it was just those two.

I like to bury the cave about 5 to 10 degrees. not a hole lot just so the eggs won't fall out. I got that tip from Aron

This male is still working those eggs. Every time I look he is in there fanning away.  This is going to be one worn out BN.
