Rooster and Bobcat

A bobcat was in front of the house today with a squirrel it had caught. Rooster ran over and had it pinned to the ground for a minute, and then it decided to run for it.

Ahh, but you see, there was a new wolf pack in this area that moved here from Oregon a few years ago, and it was when we saw one of the wolves that we began to think we needed such a dog. I mentioned the wolves a few months ago and so I thought Liz had a fantastic memory, or does have a great memory but one which works in the background without conscious awareness.

The wolves have disappeared lately, nobody knows what happened to them. Maybe they were shot by the ranchers around here.

There is a thread about the local wolf pack right here on Mugwumps. They were keeping the location a secret but I know where that meadow is in the picture. Its right up the road from here.
