Koi Spawn

My old timers decided to produce a nice sized spawn in a community tank. I needed to scramble to get a 2.5g set up so I could pull them. I managed to pull them and hopefully they will survive through the ordeal they will need to get through over the next 2 weeks.

Since my Koi are on their last breeding legs I really would like to save this spawn.Unfortunately I moved all of the previous offspring either through sales or gifts.

Even though this pair has parent raised in the past my choice was to pull them or let them become caviar.

...cool......the great, great, great grandfather of your koi just spawned with what I hope is a gold ghost.....but alas, it was an egg dump for her.....but next time I'm yanking it....

I've been feeding them the blackworm that are usually reserved for my Altums. They gave me a nice spawn.

If everything goes just right they should free swim before I move them. I'm moving most of my maint stuff on May 4th.
