....it's actually 26 deg's here...but plunging soon to below zero...then maybe close to 30 tomorrow and then the bottom falls out....coldest temps of the year move in, and snow of course, temps will go to -20 below....wind chills will be brutal......oh joy..happy, happy..joy.... ;D

I went out side and other than the wind it does seem a bit warmer. Im going into Chicago today. My son has a robotics competition. After that im going to pick up the clown loach from Willie. It's going to be a good day.

We received a letter from our propane supplier today.   They will be filling tanks to just 60%, have asked that we turn our thermostats down, wear warm socks and sweatshirts. Also if we have fireplaces or wood burning stoves we should use them.....we don't.  If our supply drops to 20% we should call them. They didn't mention cost increases....yet.

That stinks Pauline. We are getting ready for another "Polar Vortex".  How are you supposed to stay warm? What happens when you get to 20% and they don't respond adequately? ???

I'm on propane also. my whole house(stove,dryer,furnance,and water heater). But i filled my 1000 gal. tank before all this happened thank god

This is one of the reasons we spent a bit extra to go with geo-thermal when our old furnace went south.
