I'm looking at water changes tomorrow, while Jan will be attending an all day gardening class/seminar, etc over at Kishwaukee College. Sunday is relaxing day....I need to prep a few shipping boxes too tho.....it's a bit warmer next week, and I'll be shipping from colder here, to places that are  warmer.....so all should go well...

Well the son is more than likely going to spend the day with abuelo and abuela. Which leaves me to work around the house. Maybe get a couple of the Metaframes done. Need to clean up all the snow. Maybe start a bonfire and melt it all. Or I have to get the mower going and give the first cut of the season. But I ain't really feeling that one. Sunday is the outdoor show at the fairgrounds. Bunch of boats and fishing stuff. Might take the little one to that for a couple of hours after church.

Starting the weekend off with a bang, Doug Sweet talk about ?Spawning Anguilliform (Eel shaped) Loaches?.or Not? at the CAFE meeting tonight.

It is all about eel shaped loaches, spawning them with and without hormone injections. Doug will also cover some systematics, range, and environmental conditions in the wild, and also the Frank Kirschbaum methods for spawning difficult rainforest species.

Every time I've talked with Doug I've learned something new.  For 19 years he was the curator of the Belle Isle Aquarium in Michigan http://www.lakeeriewaterkeeper.org/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/lew-conf-ram-2014.pdf, and now runs the London State Fish Hatchery in London, Ohio.  The man knows his fish!!!

Chiming in late here....I'll be trimming plants tomorrow morning in preparation for tomorrow evening when we go over to a club member's home for tacos. He's going to set up a 40g and I'm taking a pile of plants over to him and we're going to 'scape the tank.

Meanwhile, at noon, we're going to go to a presentation on K&M private camping resorts and see what they have to say. Anyone know anything about them? Good or bad?

Sunday we have our daughter, granddaughter and the 2 exchange students coming for dinner and some games.
Happy Aquariuming,
Ron

I'll be digging in the dirt and working with the chain saw.  It's about time I quit hibernating in the fish room.

Well Jon the Metaframes didn't get touched today. Or yesterday. Going to try during the week. But the mower was started up right after a new battery was installed.

I spent some time getting the Garden beds cleaned up, added two new ones and added fresh new soil to all five. I had a local landscape company dump the new soil on the driveway and I got the wheelbarrow and moved it to the backyard. I planted some watermelons, Cantaloupe, Onions and Cucumbers. Still need to wait a little longer for other stuff to plant. I still have 2 beds out of 5 empty.

I move my angel fry from the Black x PB albino into a 100 gallon tank to grow out. I have some fry from the HB Veils from Liz go free swimming today. My other 2 spawns of HB fry from another pair never turned so I culled them all including the pair. My Rams have wigglers again and others I am getting ready to sell.

That was my weekend.
