..must be these converging fronts, plus their natural rhythm...Plats spawn looks good..Koi pairs cleaning....F1 Mana's still having the long courtship...but shouldn't be long now as she's big as a house...LOL

I had to pull two week old Mana x fry because the parents spawned again and the existing fry would not keep off the slate.  It was only a matter of time before the parents were going to choose.

...or they get indifferent and just let the older fry peck at the eggs.....sheesh....you were right to get one or the other out of there...

Well all is well on both sides today. Since there were only 14 fry to pull I decided to pull them.  I put them in a little cory tank that I have.  I hope the cories don't sneak up on them in the night to enjoy a snack but so far so good.  I've put small fry in there before and their growth was huge.  Must have been the cory pellets supplementing the BBS.
