THE LOUNGE / Dry Saturday
Last post by wsantia1 - April 06, 2024, 04:41:36 AM
Good morning everyone. We will finally have a day with no precip of any kind but it will still be cold and windy like any normal winter day here. huh  It is currently 38 degrees with a feels like temp of 32F. Our high temp will hit 58F this afternoon.

Yesterday we had a little earthquake about 100 miles north of me. My relatives in NYC felt it but I didn't feel a thing. They say that it could be felt from Maine to Virginia. While I didn't feel anything I had a couple of neighbors that did and I believe that Kobe did because we were in the basement and he abruptly wanted to get out of there.

The only thing on my agenda today is picking up Kobe's meds and fishroom work. Other than that I'll be resting up while I wait for the real spring like weather to arrive. The rumor is that it will get here next week. huh

Wishing you all a great weekend and I'll pop in later to see what's going on with you all.

Hey Dennis, aside from a lot of rain the threat of tornados was overblown. Even the wind wasn't that bad. We did get lots rain but it has stopped for the time being.

Hey Willie, be safe.  The storms came through here Monday & Tuesday.  They made such a big deal they had the children terrified and they let school out early.

The whole thing was a bust.  Nothing like the storm from about a month ago where there was 4 killed and thousands in damages.

We did get quite a bit of rain and the national weather service was calling for flood warnings the whole time the tv weather folks were freaking out.

Our temps are way down, but they are forecasting upper 60's low 70's at the start of next week.

Good afternoon everyone. Like earlier in the week the rain continues but this time just minutes ago a "tornado watch" came across my phone. I am already in the fishroom/basement so I'll probably still be here when the threat passes though the area.

Hopefully you guys are nice and dry in your area but I am pretty sure that Barb and maybe Dennis are affected by this system. Wherever you are try to stay safe and dry. I'll check in a little later when the threat expires.

Thanks Willie!  I didn't have quite that much to sort, but I did some shredding too😊. That rain for 10 days at a temp,of 55 is Seattle winter weather. 😩

Happy Belated Birthday from me too Ron. Hopefully you had a great day. It's funny that you spent the day sorting and filing paperwork because I spent yesterday going sorting through paperwork and shredding a whole bunch of it.

I filled up three 13 gallon garbage bags with shredded paperwork for pickup this morning by the garbage people. I have a few sub piles to get through before I start going through a few boxes in my office. There will be a lot to shred in those boxes too.

It's been raining pretty regularly over the last 10 days and I am getting sick of it. The landscapers have been unable to do their initial seasonal mowing and mulching and the grass in the common areas is getting too high for me to walk Kobe in. It will continue to rain until the weekend. In the meantime the temps have only been topping out at around 55 degrees.

It's time to get Kobe out for his last walk. At least the rain is on pause for now. It will startup again at around 9 PM.

Have a good evening everyone.
