Ever since I was looking for a Fiat I've been getting all these emails from people who want me to take a crap job, give me loan, remortgage my house which is already fully paid for, and all sorts of other crap.  It was amusing for a while but I am now sick to death of it.  I transfer the junk to my "bulk mail" folder but it doesn't help.  They keep coming and it keeps getting worse.  Please, someone tell me how I can stop this.

....make sure you mark it spam.....block it, if you have that option, too.....if you delete them, do it permanently....otherwise just ignore them and zap them without opening them......

Liz, what I've done is used a different email address for searching stuff because I know they gather information to hit you with ads all the time. Periodically I go in that address and just blanket delete everything. That doesn't help for your current situation, but you can search that way in the future.

Also, if you take the time, you can open the email and there is usually an ''unsubscribe'' link at the bottom of the message and you can work that angle on your current email address. It may take a week or two for them to remove you, but be consistent. I started that and eventually the specific advertisers you unsubscribe go away.

Yup, I have 3-4 email addy's too.....one for home personal use, the others for whoever/whatever......works great....when you subscribe to forums, etc...don't use your home one.....use a 'throw away' email addy.....

Yes that's the way I do it. I also have 3 or 4 emails. I use one only as what I call "my throw away email". Every time I have to give an email address to a company, etc. I use that one.

Thank you gentlemen.  I'm unsubbing from all these places that I never subscribed to.   I'll keep doing it until they're all gone.  Ever since I started searching for cars people have wanted to give me lower rates on everything, offer me crap jobs, and point me to used cars that have nothing to do with a Fiat Abarath. The only one of those I will not dump is the one I subscribed to in the first place, Car Guru's.  I want to keep up with them.  The best deal was the one I passed up...the Abarth in Louisiana.  Their must have been a reason that they were selling that low mileage car so cheap.
