Laptop Breaking Down

My laptop, which I've had since 2009 is now beginning to fall apart literally. A couple of screw heads actually broke though the bottom enclosure/case and now when I open the laptop it tries to come apart. huh

I did locate a bottom enclosure for the laptop model online for $39.00 but that will mean taking the whole apart and moving the guts and screen onto and into a new enclosure. ::)

I am good at stuff like that but I am also very good at putting that off that kind of stuff too. I use the laptop for mainly internet stuff so maybe I'll just be better off buying a tablet.  :-\

That's what duct tape is for. ;D

You might super glue it together, but there will be no getting it apart for repairs.  If you're thinking of replacing it anyway, the glue might get you another year or two.....

Tablets are great for surfing.  It's when you need to type like on the forum that they become a PITA.  I've got one I use to check email and such when I'm out and about, but it's useless for getting any "work" done.   2c2

I'd like my laptop to last a little longer since I love the portability of it and I am able to do some work on it. I do most of my main work on my desk top though. I just can't move around throughout the house with it.

I also have a desk top in the fishroom but I need to do some minor repairs on it. I have been procrastinating on it. huh
