I can deal with Windows 8 but I'm certainly not in love with it as I was from the moment I started using XP.

Surely Dennis will have to deal with Windows 10 in his work.  Perhaps he will let us know what he thinks.  If only I had the guts I'd switch to Linux.

Upgrade from a clean copy of Windows 7 took 45 minutes.  Installed on my $50 IBM laptop.  Not a real power house, Core 2 Duo @ 2 GHz with 4GB RAM.

So far, so good.  Once I get some of my dev tools loaded I'll have a better idea of how it performs.....

Just had a call from a client at a big trucking company.  His computer inadvertently was updated to Win X and now his "Stuff" doesn't work.....   Looks like that's where I be tomorrow.  LOL

Now MS wants to upgrade my home made machine to Windows X. That has all my important stuff on it so it will need to wait until I am finished test driving the laptop. ???

ok....when I do the Win10 setup....besides not sharing wifi...what are some of the others that I normally wouldn't want??

I'm not sure that I want the voice nag,,,,anyone using it?...like it??..

any gaming options that I wouldn't want....are they a drag on resources just sitting idle??

any tips as to what to watch for is appreciated......trying to think ahead here as I'm going to the 'dark side' here shortly....
