So I looked around and ended up purchasing a Vizio 48" Smart TV.
What a gorgeous picture! And you should see Mugwump's on a 48" screen. It's got built-in wifi and wired ethernet so it will connect to Netflix, YouTube, Hulu, Amazon, you name it. Also has usb so you just plug in a flash drive and it will do images or video on the drive. 3 HDMI inputs along with composite and coax so it will handle just about anything you throw at it.
Very pleased with it so far.

I have one too. Mine is 60" and I bought it for my 60th birthday last year. Works great. I also brought a sound bar with improves the sound quality a lot.
I'll eventually hook this up to the stereo system for better sound.
I looked at the larger ones, but I really don't watch that much TV and the 48" is quite a bit bigger than the old 32" Sanyo that it's replacing. LOL
