Happy Fat Tuesday
« on: February 21, 2023, 11:35:24 am »
Good afternoon everyone. It is a beautiful day here so far but rain and thorms are in the area and I don't think that we will escape it but it won't be too bad. At the moment it is 52 degrees and we will get to a high temp of 59F this afternoon.

I had to take a break from house cleaning today as my back and side are screaming at me,. I was all out getting this place cleaned up but I overdid it yesterday. I'm sure that I will be able to resume the clean up tomorrow and I can do some light stuff today.

Liz and Barb, I spoke to your friend Hans and he told me to tell you high. I will be going to visit him in about 10 days to see what he has set up. He is only open by appointment on the weekends and then only from 2-4 pm. I imagine the rest of the time he is working on his online stuff.

Wishing you all a great day.

Hi Willie.  I got the sheets washed and back on the bed, and the floors vacuumed but I had the same problem as you.  My back told me to wait until tomorrow to mop.  Chronic pain sure does suck.  Even Barb, the indestructible is experiencing it now although Ron is doing much better.  I hate it for all of us, but it is what it is.  At least we are alive and getting around, albeit  slowly.

It's another beauty of a day.  It will hit 74.  Last night it was only in the 60's so I got to leave the door open for the babies.

It turns out that Affordable Dentures is not as affordable as I thought.  But they are offering a free consultation now.  I'd have made an appointment but I was all stressed thinking that I was overdrawn. The feed store didn't like my debit card the first time I put it in but liked it the second time.  Then I got beer at a convenience store.  I gave it my card 3 times and it rejected it all 3 times.  I thought for sure that I still had money, but was afraid that I had made a mistake with money because I always thing that it's my fault.  I'm usually right, but not this time thank God.  I called the bank for my balance and I have more than enough money left to get through until my next check. Tomorrow I'll make an appointment with the cheap dentist.  I will have 2 teeth pulled at the first appointment and next month get another out until all than need to come out come out.  They do offer Care Credit, which is a good deal, but I want to pay as I go for as long as I can.  I'll save the Care Credit for the false teeth which ain't cheap for really good ones.

I believe that Chicken Chicken wants to lay an egg.  She's been acting a little weird for the past few days.  It's been hard to make her stay out of the house.  But a bit ago, she got into her cage (which she never does during the day) and appears to be concentrating hard on something.  Dang, I thought that this hen's laying days were over, but maybe I was wrong.  I hate buying commercial eggs.  The poor hens they come from have no life at all.  The way they are kept is animal abuse.

That's all for me, folks.  I'll pop in later to see what's going on with Barb and Ron.
Always move forward. Never look back.
