..We lived in a small town years ago...just down the street from us lived am elderly German couple. The gentleman had gotten four GSD pups. We watched as he trained them, and raised them to big beautiful dogs. He would go to the PO with them all. He would line them up on the sidewalk entrance and drop the leashes on the ground. Then he would go inside for his mail. Not one dog would move...you could walk by and scratch their heads and love em up...they were so friendly....but they wouldn't move.....but remember, Shepherds know when to take care of business, it doesn't have to be taught. He'd come out and call them one by one....the others remained in place.....then they would all walk home.
